Lancaster Lager Series (LLS): 2010-2011

Coming throughout 2010 and 2011 is my first series of lagers. I have ghetto lagered before... But now since moving to Lancaster - a city steeped in lager history - I have decided to execute this series as a tribute.

LLS: Festbier, aka: Doktoberfest, will appear on my taps in late September 2010. It is a malty Marzen lager, fermented for 4 weeks. Released September 25th, 2010.

LLS: Doppel, aka Penetrator Doppelbock, will lager from early October through mid-December 2010. This beer is a huge German bock... A winter belly-warmer dosed with hints of chocolate, coffee, and dark fruit. Released December 18th, 2010.

LLS: Maibock, aka Birthday Maibock, is my annual birthday recipe for myself. Traditionally brewed on New Year's Eve and ready on March 12, this light, but deceptively strong lager is this Brewmaster's choice when adding another notch to the bedpost of my life. Released March 5th, 2011.

LLS: Pilsner will be a new recipe for Dubbel Dachs. I'm not traditionally a big fan of the style, so I researched different examples and settled on an all-Hallertau hopping schedule similar to Iron Hill Lancaster's Phightin' Phils Pils. Expected Release July 14, 2011.
