On January 3rd, 2009, a confluence of raw brewing talent converged on an unsuspecting Paoli, PA. At the home of one Bam McAleese, these homebrewers combined to make 35 gallons of beer over the course of just one chilly Saturday.

The group brew culminated in the 1st Annual SOGO Brewfest on February 28th. Beers were served to the masses and judged by a select group of experts. At the end of the day, Sloppy Johnson took home the SOGO Cup.

On January 16, 2010, the SOGO Brewers once again gathered to brew in an event that would be forever known as SOGO Brew Day II: Electric Brewgaloo. This time the locale was Pottsvegas, PA at the home of Sloppy Johnson. 25 gallons of beer was brewed, almost as much was drank, and one poncho was mentioned waaaaay too much.

Next up:
2nd Annual SOGO Brewfest, time and place to be determined.

Lunch

Talents: "I will be watching, assisting, and drinking.  My standard contribution to anything I'm involved in." He also loves the word "VORLAUF".

Lou

Talents: Drinking all night, then showing up cloaked in a poncho (DRINK!!!), t-shirt, jeans, and sharp black loafers (wtf?!?). Hat conceals a mighty 'fro that really makes the fur-lined hat redundant.

Squatch

Habitat and range: Normally Baltimore, but can sometimes be seen in the greater Philadelphia area. Large and mysterious, Squatch has only been caught on film once (see left). Authenticity of this video is questioned since the specimen in question does not have a beer in hand.
